Stainless Steel Float-Style Air Vents

Essential protection for liquid-cooled IT infrastructure to keep data center pumps, coils, meters and cooling units operating smoothly and efficiently.

Proper air venting is critical for data centers. Even a small amount of trapped air can disrupt flow, which can significantly impair heat transfer and cooling efficiency, and cause pump cavitation and corrosion.

Unlike manual air vents, Armstrong’s automatic float-style air vents work continuously to remove entrained and accumulated air from liquid cooling system—improving data center commissioning, efficiency, and long-term system performance. Armstrong air vents offer all-stainless-steel construction, with internal components available in 316 stainless steel, a material increasingly specified to eliminate the possibility of corrosion in glycol-based systems.

Cooling and Humidification

EvaPack® Evaporative Cooling and Humidification

Free cooling for direct or indirect evaporative humidification of data center IT spaces, and precooling for dry coolers and cooling towers.

Achieve a lower Power Usage Effectiveness ratio (PUE) and prevent IT equipment failure in data centers by maintaining servers in an environment of precision-controlled temperature and humidity. HumidiPack® Steam Dispersion Panel

Armstrong HumidiPack® is a prefabricated steam humidifier system that comes ready-to-insert in the duct. Using a multiple-tube dispersion assembly, HumidiPack® spreads steam over the entire cross-section of the duct, mixing steam with air more quickly and substantially shortening the non-wetting distance.

HumidiPack® CF consistently delivers high-quality dry steam using a vertical header configuration that separates condensate internally. Tubes stay cold when not in use, so no heat is added to the air stream when there’s no demand. This is critical for data centers struggling with heat management.

HumidiPackPlus® adds steam-jacketed active tubes filled with high-pressure steam. These serve as heat blankets, so even very long tubes in very cold air remain hot enough to prevent internal condensation—ensuring a uniform discharge of dry steam.

HumidiClean™ HC-6000 Ionic Bed Electric Steam Humidifier

Armstrong’s revolutionary ionic bed technology offers less scale, higher efficiency, increased energy savings, and reduced maintenance on internal parts. The ionic beds are made of a fibrous medium that pulls solids from water as water temperature rises, minimizing buildup on heating elements and inner tank walls. When absorbed solids reach maximum capacity, you’ll be alerted that the ionic beds need to be changed—a hassle-free process that takes about 15 minutes.

Armstrong International’s partner, WARE, provides large-scale data center chiller testing using mobile hot water rental boilers or mobile steam rental boilers with heat exchangers. WARE operates one of the industry’s largest, most capable fleets of rental boiler equipment for heat load simulation and chiller testing, with testing scenarios ranging from individual chillers to full-system load simulations.
