Geothermal steam
Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and other impurities, along with trace metals, are often found in geothermal steam. Armstrong has solutions to address toxic gases and meet a variety of resource/site-specific requirements or special precautions, including environmental regulations related to the measurement of non-condensable gas emissions.
Geothermal brine
The problem of scale formation and corrosion in geothermal environments is resource/site specific and in most cases is much more aggressive than in industrial environments due to the salts, silica, heavy metals, chlorides, calcium carbonates and other minerals (lithium++/gold) present in the geothermal brine. Therefore, the selection of materials and the management of the brine extraction, use and reinjection system are of utmost importance to ensure the performance and durability of your equipment.
