Geothermal steam
Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and other impurities, along with trace metals, are often found in geothermal steam. Armstrong has solutions for handling toxic gases and for many of the requirements for specific sources/sites or special regulations, including environmental regulations regarding the measurement of non-condensable gas emissions.
Geothermal brine
The problem of scaling and corrosion in a geothermal environment is specifically related to the source/location and is usually much more aggressive than in industrial environments due to the salts, silica, heavy metals, chlorides, calcium carbonates and other minerals (lithium++/gold) in geothermal brine. Therefore, the choice of materials and the management of the brine extraction, use and reinjection system are crucial to guarantee the performance and longevity of your equipment.
