At the end of this course you will be able to:

• Understand the causes of arc flash and how to avoid exposure
• Understand why equipment should be placed in an electrically safe work condition prior to service using lockout/tagout
• Select the correct personal protective equipment to wear when working with different voltages of electricity
• Use safe work practices to reduce the hazards associated with an arc flash

In this course we will:

• Discuss the noise regulation requirements for a PRV
• Learn how the different decibel levels correlate to different levels of flow and pressure
• Understand the external noise suppression devices and the acoustic/insulation jacket as it relates to minimizing noise levels
• Identify the orifice plate and the different sizes as it relates to minimizing noise levels
• Compare how noise suppression devices meet various requirements
